Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – April 14, 2013

Ravens:
Former overall eight draft pick Rolando McClain passed his physical and will play a 1 year trial period for the Ravens, as they try to sure up their non-existent linebacker core. McClain is no stranger to trouble, and the Ravens are believed to be one of the few teams that can keep him in line, after he was banished from the locker room half way through the season last year.

Orioles:
The Orioles won 2 of 3 in Boston, after dropping the opener, and look to do the same tonight against the Yankees, as they look to stay half game behind Boston. Tampa, the Dodgers and Toronto will be coming in to town starting on Tuesday for a 9 game homestand.

Alouettes
Nothing to report.

Blast:
Nothing to report.

Chesapeake Bayhawks: (Home games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium)
Season opens on April 27 in Florida against Rochester. Single game tickets went on sale this past Thursday.

Charm:
The Charm will open the 2013 season at Jacksonville on May 25.

Capitals (See website for more details):
The Capitals now have a 7 game win streak, and a 4 point lead on Winnipeg for the division title and a guaranteed playoff spot. There are 6 games left in the shortened regular season.

Wizards (See website for more details):
At 29-51, and 2 games left… the Wizards have officially given up.

Mystics (See website for more details):
Season opens May 27.

D.C.United (See website for more details):
United (1-4-1) lost to New York on Saturday. Next game is Sunday against Philadelphia, at home.

What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, never mind. No one is reading this anyway so you probably won’t know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!
