Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – February 11, 2014

Ravens:
steelers have hired thug joey porter as a defensive assistant. So, if it wasn’t bad enough that their head coach is tripping our players, now we have to deal with them attacking injured players.

Orioles:
Free agent pitcher Bronson Arroyo went to the Diamondbacks, and one of the concerns he cited with respect to Baltimore was that he wasn’t sure he could work out a deal with Baltimore, since we have already failed 2 players physicals this off season.

Alouettes
Miscellaneous off-season transactions of players none of us are familiar with…

Blast:
The Blast (13-3) won back to back games this past week, over St. Louis and Missouri, both on the road to extend the win streak to 5 games. They are off this week, but will have back to back home games next weekend on Friday and Saturday night against Pennsylvania (1-13) and Syracuse (9-7). The Blasts are .5 games behind Milwaukee (13-2)

Chesapeake Bayhawks: (Home games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium)
US Lacrosse announced the 30-man roster that will face TeamMLL in the 2014 All-Star Game on June 26 at Harvard Stadium… MLL has entered into a partnership with Baltimore-based STX to provide equipment to MLL players for the 2014 season.

Charm:
Nothing to Report.

Capitals (See website for more details):
The Caps (27-23-9) have won 3 of the last 4, to move into a tie with Ottawa for 10th place in the conference.

Wizards (See website for more details):
The Wizards (25-25) have lost 2 of 3, but still sit in the 5th seed for the conference.

Mystics (See website for more details):
Nothing to Report.

D.C.United (See website for more details):
DC United lost 2-0 to Chicago in Bradenton, FL in a preseason match-up.

What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, never mind. No one is reading this anyway so you probably won’t know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!
