Ravens:
Ray Rice losing weight, to get be in better shape for next season, so he doesn’t take a, ahem, beating… ILB Daryl Smith signed to 4-year deal… Panthers WR Steve Smith signed to a 3-year deal… Michael Oher signs with the Titans.

Orioles:
Machado, after 1 year of professional ball, has been whining about his contract; will probably miss opening day due to scar tissue in his knee… Jiminez roughed up last start, to start minor league game next… LF David Lough suffering some neck stiffness, out of lineup… 2B Alexi Casilla suffering some swelling in his knee, wants to play but team being cautious… Markakis suffering form some tendinitis, but says it’s typical for him this time of year… Jonathan Schoop doing well at second base, could earn roster spot… Suk-Min Yoon finally gets work visa, pitches solid outting… Britton (out of Minor league options), could make opening day bullpen with options for spot starts.

Alouettes
New head coach names his staff.

Mariners
After going 16-0 in 2010, and then being disbanded due to league financial violations, the league has returned to Baltimore with a reconstituted Mariner team for the 2014 season. See website for schedule.

Blast:
The Blast lost opening game of Championship 15-8, face Missouri for final game (plus mini-game if necessary) tonight, at the Arena.

Chesapeake Bayhawks: (Home games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium)
Hawkette tryouts/auditions are now open, will take place on Saturday, April 12… Bull and Oyster Roast and Championship Ring ceremony scheduled for April 11, see website for details.
