Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – March 31, 2015

News and Personal Thoughts:
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. Off season, and I have been busy fighting crime. If you haven’t filed your taxes yet this year, get a move on. I was rudely rejected by the IRS because someone else had already filed using my information. Long story short, I am now for banning of the death penalty, and the reintroduction of scourging.

Ravens:
Ravens still have some holes to file, and are looking to the draft.

Orioles:
Spring training is winding down soon, and the picture is taking shape. Despite set backs for Wieters, and a trip to the DL for Hardy, the O’s pitching is looking better and better, but their hitting can still be the cog in the wheel.

Alouettes
CFL is mulling some seriously major rule changes. IF APPROVED, Offensive linemen will be prevented from going down field on a punt until the receiving team touches the ball; the second proposal is to ban ALL contact between receivers and DBs after 5 yards; and the third is a PAT from the 25.

Blast (MASL):
The Blast fell flat in the championship. Nuff said.

Chesapeake Bayhawks: (Home games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium)
Season starts 4/19.

Charm:
Nothing to Report.

Capitals (See website for more details):
With 92 points, the Caps are 4th in the division, and tied for 6th in the conference. Playoffs are likely, but not gauranteed.

Wizards (See website for more details):
Wizards are 2nd in the their division, and 5th in the conference. More importantly, they have clinched a playoff spot.

Mystics (See website for more details):
Season opens June 6.

D.C.United (See website for more details):
United has opened the season 2-1.

What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, never mind. No one is reading this anyway so you probably won’t know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!
