Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – October 19, 2016

Ravens:
What more can I say. O line is not give time for Flacco to throw and the secondary ain’t worth crap. And the penalties? WTF? Is this a semi-pro team? This is going to be one long season if answers aren’t found FAST. As a side note, they keep changing Offensive coordinators, but the results aren’t changing. May, just maybe, the problem is the QB, and not the coordinator? Just thinking out loud. All this, and still only 1 game out of first. Only positives I can say is in the realm of wishful thinking.

Orioles:
Indians headed to the world series. Cubs trying to continue the curse, down 2-1.

Alouettes
The Als (4-11) lost 22-8, as the continue to lock down the worst record in the league.

Blast (MISL):
Season opens November 5 at Harrisburg, and home opener is November 11 against Milwaukee. Individual game tickets now on sale.

Chesapeake Bayhawks: (Home games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium)
Nothing new to report.

Capitals (See website for more details):
Caps have rebound to a 2-0-1 start, and are tied for the division lead after playing one game less than the team that must not be named.

Wizards (See website for more details):
Regular season stars October 27.

D.C.United (See website for more details):
United moved into 4th place at 11-9-13 with 1 game left. With the top 6 teams in each conference making the playoffs, the United are in the post season.

What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, never mind. No one is reading this anyway so you probably won’t know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!

Iggy’s Predictions

“Past performance does not guarantee future success, but it sure is the way to bet!”

  • Week 6:
    • Denver over @SD (+2.5). Denver is the better team. Broncos are going down hill fast without Manning
    • @Giants over Baltimore (+3.5), but take the points. Like usual, expect a close game; Giants have lost 2 games on points so far. Hind sight is 20/20. Kick the friendly field goal!
    • @NE over Cin (+8.5). Pats beat up Browns by 20, and Bengals haven’t been much better so far. Bengals fared only slightly better then the Browns.
    • @Saints (+2.5) over Carolina. Panthers (1-4 as the favorite) couldn’t even beat TB. Saints 2-0 as the dog. Odds have it! Saints win by 3!
    • Squealers over @Fins (+7.5). Shark bait. Ben goes down; could be out 4-6 weeks to avoid facing Suggs again (who might not play either)
    • @Chicago over Jags (+2.5). Home team won the toss… but not the game, 17-16.
    • @Bills over SF (+7.5). Kaps back, but it won’t matter. SF 1-4 as the dog. Bills got medieval on they @$$.
    • LA (+2.5) over @Detroit. Rams 3-0 as the dog; Lions 0-2 as the favorite. Lions by 3.
    • @Tennessee over Cle (+6.5), but take the points. Browns covered twice as the dog. Titans win by 2, fail to cover.
    • Eagles over @Washington (+2.5). NFC Home team jinx. Bah!
    • @Raiders over KC (+.5). Raiders are on the move (or was that the Rams). Both teams 0-2 ATS. Chefs 26-10!
    • Atl (+6.5) over @Sea. Hawks 2-2 (failed to cover once) as the favorite, but Falcons are 4-0 as the dog (winning all 4 outright). Almost; but they did cover.
    • Dallas (+4.5) over @Packers. Dallas 2-1 as the dog, Packers 0-4 as the favorite. Cowboys 30-16. I knew I should have started Beasley!
    • @Houston over Indy (+3.5). Texans 3-1 as the favorite. Texans in OT by 3.
    • @Cards over Jets (+7.5), but take the points. Both teams have done poorly against the spread and straight up. Flip a coin. Those odds were more than the Jets Scored!
    • This Week: 8-7 SU, 6-9 ATS
    • This Season: 53-39 SU, 48-44 ATS
  • Week 7:
    • @Packers over Bears (+7.5), but take the points. Packers have failed to cover 3 times already this season.
    • Ravens (+0.5) over Jets. Ravens 2-0 against teams currently holding sub-.500 records.
    • @LA (+2.5) over Giants. Rams 3-1 as the Dog, and the Giants have failed to cover twice as the favorite.
    • <MN over @Eagles (+2.5). Eagles on a 2 game losing streak going in.
    • @Chefs over NO (+6.5), but take the points. Saints 3-0 as the dog, while KC has failed to cover 1 of 2 times they were favored this season.
    • was (+1.5) over @Detroit. Skins 3-1 as the underdog; although Detroit does have Boldin. Lions 1-2 as the favorite.
    • @Bengals over Cloverland (+9.5), but take the points. Bengals 1-3 as the favorite, while the Browns have exceeded expectations and covered thrice this season.
    • Bills over @Miami (+2.5). 30-15 over squealors a fluke.
    • Oakland (+1.5) over @Jags. Raiders 3-0 as the Dog.
    • Colts (+2.5) over @Titans. Colts have Luck on their side; Titans 0-2 as the favorite.
    • @Falcons over SD (+6.5), but take the points. Chargers 3-1, covering twice as the dog.
    • @SF (+2.5) over TB. There are no winners in this match up. Both teams already playing for draft picks.
    • Pats over pit (+7.5). One of the few teams I cheer FOR Brady.
    • @Arizona over Seattle (+1.5). Cardinals have momentum after beating the Jets
    • Texans (+7.5) over @Denver. Gut feel. Broncos are not impressing me so far.
