Ravens:
Ravens are muddling through the free agent market, but still need help on the front line… and a “BACKUP” QB who could, you know, maybe, if things aren’t going well, Take over!

Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – November 19, 2017

News and Personal Thoughts:
Seeking a volunteer to be become the new Directory of Raven’s promotions. I have been a volunteer since 2007 and other commitments are making it difficult to continue in this role.

Ravens:
In a rare instance where we don’t collapse in the face of an unknown QB, the Raven’s defense rose to the occasion and posted their 3rd shutout of the season. Offensively, we remain offensive as Flacco looked out of sorts, especially when he panics when his first look is not there. Another INT (red zone) cost us points, and fears abounded in the first half as takeaways failed to result in points. Special team were special with a big return, several pinning punts (should have been 1 more), and a flawless Tucker helped manage the game.

Next game is a rare HOME Monday night prime time game against a Texans with a losing record. Challenge will be for the defense to continue their dominance, for the offense to not lose the game, and the team in general to NOT play down to the level of their opponent.

Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – October 16, 2017

Ravens:
Incompetency was almost rescued by special teams, but alas, our failure to generate any offense led to this loss. Defense did okay against a team that rammed the ball down our throats until a failed arm strip-tackle cost us the game.

Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – October 8, 2017

Ravens:
Leveraging decent pass protection, and the inability of the Raiders to stop the run, the Ravens took advantage an early pick-up six to jump out to an early 14-0 lead within the first 5 minutes of the game. The injury to West is concerning as more players got bitten by the injury bug plaguing us since the start of training camp.

It was good to have the squeelers lose to the Jags in pittsburgh, after we were the laughing stock of the league when we flopped horribly in London. Incidentally, people are now asking if the Jags are for real.

News & Commentary

News and Personal Thoughts:
None.

Ravens:
If this is what we have to look forward to the rest of the season, it’s going to be long and frustrating. Another inept offensive performance followed by the inability of our defense to stop Ben was a sure recipe for disaster. Our offense remains unimaginative while the front line failed to provide any decent protection.

News & Commentary

News and Personal Thoughts:
If you want me to start a tirade at our next meeting, just ask me about my opinion of those who disrespect our country during the national anthem.

Ravens:
Lack of pass protection forced Joe Flacco to make rushed decision with generally poor results. Even when he had time, he still made bad decisions with generally poor results. The defense failed to deliver the takeaways we were beginning to become accustomed and failed to provide the pressure on the QB necessary to be effective. With an 23-0 halftime hole, the results were not unexpected. But the continuation of turnovers, and (of course) the fake punt left us nothing but to consider the future. This is a serious gut check and wakeup call which could be beneficial going into steeler week.
