Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – October 20, 2015

News and Personal Thoughts:
The GoogleDoc ticket sharing status: Seats still available for Sea and Pit. Check it out at Ravens Roost 4 Ticket Exchange.

Ravens:
That about does it. Unless they can run the table, the season is virtually done. To make the playoffs now, we would have to put together a virtually unprecedented run. Right now, we need to figure out where we need to go with the number one overall draft pick, which we are currently on the short list to get. Mistakes killed us again. We keep giving the ball up, and we can’t take it away, even when they put it in our arms. Penalties still at the worst possible time. Now we face an Arizona team who just got embarassed by pittsburgh. Safe money would be on us losing again. I’d like to say that we are the best 1-5 team in the league, but that doesn’t really say much.

Orioles:
Orioles extend contracts to entire coaching staff.

Alouettes
Montreal (5-10) lost to first place Hamilton, 23-11, virtually ending their season.

Blast (MASL):
Nothing new to report.

Chesapeake Bayhawks: (Home games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium)
Nothing new to report.

Capitals (See website for more details):
Caps are out to a 3-1 start to the season, with the one loss resulting from Ovechkin over sleeping and being benched for the entire game since he missed the team meeting.

Wizards (See website for more details):
Wizards are 4-1 in preseason, with games left, and the regular season starting on October 28.

Mystics (See website for more details):
Nothing to Report.

D.C.United (See website for more details):
United (15-12-6, 51 points) are 6 points behind NY with 1 game left.

What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, never mind. No one is reading this anyway so you probably won’t know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!

Iggy’s Predictions

“Past performance does not guarantee future success, but it sure is the way to bet!”

  • NFL, Week 6
    • Falcons over Ain’t’s (+3.5). Falcons stumbled last week against Washington, but not this week. Maybe Falcons aren’t for real this year.
    • Denver over Cleveland (+4.5), but take the points. Denver can’t close it out. Just like Baltimore keeps losing by a score… Denver keeps winning.
    • Bengals over Bills (+3.5). Bills have injury bug. Bengals stay undefeated.
    • Vikings over KC (+3.5). Going with the Home team! Oh look! KC is on our schedule!
    • Texans over Jags (+1.5). Houston is starting to rise…kind a. Houston continued their rise.
    • Bears (+2.5) over Lions. Lions are pathetic, and bears have won 2 in a row ATS. Lions get first win in OT
    • Skins (+5.5) over Jets. Upset of the week. Jets got medieval on the skins.
    • pit (+3.5), over AZ. O’ for this one to be in Zona. squealors put it away with a late long TD.
    • Titans over Fins (+2.5). When this game ends, both teams will be relieved. Fins win big.
    • Carolina (+4.5) over Seattle. People are still remembering the super bowl Seahawks. Panthers score late for the win.
    • Packers over Charger (+9.5). Packers on fast path to Super Bowl. Rivers passes for 503 yards, but still loses.
    • Niners (+2.5) over Ravens. Why should I have hope? If I hope that we lose, will we win?
    • Pats over Colts (+8.5). Will Luck be 100% or even playing? Colts produce worst play called in NFL history.
    • Giants (+3.5) over Eagles. NFC Road test is the way to bet. Eagles are on the way up.
    • This Week: 9-5 SU (Straight Up), 7-7 ATS (Against the Spread)
    • This Season: 58-33 SU, 48-43 ATS
  • NFL, Week 7
    • Hawks over Niners (+6.5), but take the points. Both teams are struggling.
    • Bills over Jags (+5.5). Bills have the better team.
    • Cleveland (+5.5) over Rams. Cleveland might have a playoff team… ok, just kidding.
    • steelers over KC (+2.5). Slaughter of the week.
    • Fins over Houston (+4.5). Heads Miami, tails Houston…. it’s heads.
    • Pats over Nyets (+9.5). Too many points for 2 teams fighting for first, even if one of them is the Jets.
    • Vikings over Detroit (+2.5). Detroit got their 1 win, they can stop trying now.
    • Atlanta over Titans (+4.5), but take the points. Titans have covered twice already and Atlanta has been struggling.
    • Tampa (+3.5) over Washington. Skins keep finding ways to lose.
    • Saints (+4.5) over Colts. Colts are 0-4 as the favorite ATS.
    • Chargers over Oakland (+4.5), but take the points. Raiders could win this one outright too!
    • Giants over Dallas (+3.5). Normally, I’d take the road team, but Dallas just isn’t showing me enough without Romo.
    • Panthers over Eagles (+3.5). Panther year?
    • Zona over Ravens (+7.5), but take the points. Every Raven game has been by 6 points or less so far.
