Iggy’s Ravens Report – March 17, 2013

Ravens:
I think the diaspora has finally dissipated. The Offense lacks a go-to receiver, and the defense is in runes… or is it? Pete Prisco on CBS had an interesting article outlining what we lost, and what we have to replace the holes. His summary is that we will be okay, and I feel the same way. We do have money available, and we have pulled in a few lesser free agents, but all in all, the only thing we really need right now is a go-to receiver (I guess we were too quick to trade Q), and McKinnie to sure up the front line, because without that front line, Joe is just average, and not Super Bowl MVP.

Orioles:
The O’s have continued sorting things out in Spring Training, posting the 2nd best record so far. Of course, that doesn’t mean anything for the regular season, when games count, but things are looking good in my opinion.

Alouettes
Nothing to report.

Blast:
The Blasts beat Missouri 2 straight games to clinch their 6th title since 2002.

Chesapeake Bayhawks: (Home games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium)
Seeking a pulse on Florida’s interest level for lacrosse, the Rochester Rattlers will host the Bayhawks on April 27 at
Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, Florida. The 2013 schedule has been released.

Charm:
The Charm will open the 2013 season at Jacksonville on May 25.

Capitals (See website for more details):
The Caps have lost 4 of 5 and dropped back down to 4th place in the division, and 2nd worst record in the league.

Wizards (See website for more details):
The Wizards have won 3 in a row, and 4 of the last 5, moving up to the 11th spot in the conference, but still 3rd in their division.

Mystics (See website for more details):
Season opens May 27.

D.C.United (See website for more details):
United tied NY yesterday to even their record at 1-1-1. They will host Columbus on Saturday.

What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, never mind. No one is reading this anyway so you probably won’t know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!
