Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – May 5, 2013

Ravens:
Bryant McKinnie has been resigned to an incentive laced 2 year, $7M contract, which analysts predict will solidify our offensive line. However, in my opinion, we still lack a go-to “Hands” receiver. That Boldin trade is looking worse and worse every day.

Orioles:
Orioles continue to have ups and downs, but still remain in the hunt. 10 games into an 11 game west coast road trip, the O’s are 6-4, and will come home a winner, regardless of today’s outcome. Orioles are 1/2 game behind New York for a Wild Card Spot.

If the Playoffs started today…
Rank American National
1 Boston St. Louis
2 Texas Atlanta
3 Detroit Colorado
WC1 Kansas City San Francisco
WC2 New York Cincinnati

Alouettes
Nothing to report.

Blast:
Nothing to report.

Chesapeake Bayhawks: (Home games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium)
The Bayhawks posted a 9-3 win over Long Island yesterday to move to 2-0. Next game is Saturday against the Ohio Machine.

Charm:
The Charm will open the 2013 season at Jacksonville on May 25. First home game is a week later against Philadelphia.

Capitals (See website for more details):
Despite losing the regular season series 0-2-1 to the Rangers, the Caps swept the Rangers at home, and head to New York with a 2-0 lead.

Wizards (See website for more details):
Still not looking for any of this depressing information.

Mystics (See website for more details):
Season opens May 27 in Tulsa. First home game is Sunday, June 2 against Atlanta.

D.C.United (See website for more details):
For their next game, DC will host Houston on Wednesday, May 8.

What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, never mind. No one is reading this anyway so you probably won’t know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!
