Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – February 3, 2015

Ravens:
That was not the Super Bowl ending I ordered! Anyways, season ended a few weeks ago anyway, and that game was just a formality. Terrance Cody was
cut amid allegations of animal cruelty among other bad press items.

2015 NASCAR PULL/POOL

2015 NASCAR PULL/POOL

Sponsored by Ravens Roost #4 Social Committee

How to play:

Only 10 people play per week and the cost to play is $10.00 per week.

The Winner each week gets $75.00 and the Social Committee gets $25.00

36 Sprint Cup Races are on the schedule which means $900.00 will be raised for the Social Committees future events.

Each week we can have new players so the first to pay are the first to play.

Numbers 0-9 are placed in a hat each week. The day prior to each race a number will be drawn and placed next to the ten people’s names that are playing that week. We will video tape the drawing each week and place it on the Roost #4 webpage or email it to people playing that may not be members.

Whatever number is chosen for your name, that is your last digit car number for the race. So if you get #8, you have ALL CARS that end in #8. If you get #0, you have ALL CARS that end in zero. Very easy to play!

Each week new numbers are drawn. This gives everyone a fair chance to play and possibly win. We have set up a spreadsheet to keep a record of the people participating each week. I will collect money at each meeting going forward for Roost members that are playing and make the pay outs at meetings as well.

If you are planning on playing for multiple weeks in a row that is fine, please just pay for them all at once so I don’t get confused.

This is a fun and easy way to raise some money for a future Roost #4 sponsored event. Maybe a free happy hour at Kelsey’s during a Ravens away game or a chartered bus trip to New York. Something to give back to the Roost members.

Any questions let me know and Good Luck to All…Leslie

Ravens:
Ravens selected a new O-coordinator in Marc Trestman. Formerly the Bears and Alouettes head coach, he bring a very similar style offense, except that it is more pass heavy. We shall see how things evolve.

Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – January 19, 2015

Ravens:
Kubiak, after saying he wasn’t leaving, left. I guess it was a matter of the right job opportunity, which didn’t open up until Denver was bounced out of playoffs. Now, we have to go on another hunt.

Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – January 13, 2015

Ravens:
That game did NOT end correctly. The trick play and the 2nd Flacco INT cost us a deserved trip to the AFC Championship game. I don’t know why we were pushing the ball into the end zone at that point instead of burning the clock down and shrinking the field. Now, free agent hell, and the annual reaping of our coaching staff. Fortunately, Kubiak intends to stay and not entertain offers from other teams, but it’s a long off season.

Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report for January 7, 2015

Ravens:
Wow! Everyone believed but me… of course that was after Bell was declared out for the game. Pittsburgh was NOT ready for that game. Without Bell, they literally had NO game plan, and Ben was not right after he got his “bell” rung. It was awesome hearing Seven Nations Army singing on the TV with a few minutes left. That was not the same inconsistent team that I watched all season long. They played a complete game against a decent team. Now, they have to bring that same game plan and intensity to another arch-rival. They key will be getting to Brady early and often. If he hears Suggs and Dumervil coming, he will rush his passes and take him off his game. Let’s bring it!

Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – December 30, 2014

Ravens:
Rebounding from another near catastrophic start, the Ravens started playing football in the 4th quarter when it became apparent that San Diego’s string of luck had run out, and they had a realistic chance at making the playoffs. If the Ravens could play with that same sense of urgency for an entire game, I’d love to see the results. Instead, we travel to Pittsburgh for a first round playoff game, against a team that has never lost against a division rival in the playoffs, and also posted some ungodly numbers when they shredded our make shift secondary back in November. The Ravens have not improved since then, and anyone who expects different results will have another thing coming. Be glad that we made the playoffs, but you may want to close your eyes for what comes next.

Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – December 23, 2014

Ravens:
The Ravens once again prove they can’t handle 2nd string (or worse) quarterbacks. After delivering one of the worst performances they have given in a long time, the Ravens now face Cleveland in a “must win, and pray” scenario that involves San Diego losing to Kansas City. With the way the Chargers have been playing lately (and the Chiefs for that matter), we are probably looking at another long off-season.
