Ravens Host Jacksonville Jaguars Tonight at M&T Bank Stadium

The Ravens play host to the Jacksonville Jaguars at 7:30pm tonight at M&T Bank Stadium.Â Reminder – Roost #4 will NOT have an organized tailgate party for this game … no grill … no RV … if you want to tailgate you’re on your own for this one.Â Go Ravens!!!

… REMINDER – we have a Roost #4 meeting at 7pm this coming Monday, August 27th, up at Jilly’s.

… Road Trippers – road trip items (for our Roost #4 October Road Trip to the Kansas City game) will be distributed at the meeting this coming Monday.Â If you can’t be there to pick-up your items, please send someone to pick them up for you!Â Also, the Monday meeting will be your last chance to order the ladies’ purple cowboy hats for the road trip!Â Estimated cost for the hats is ~ $9.Â Contact Tom Thompson or see him Monday at the meeting if you’d like to order one.

Roost #4 Adopt-a-Highway Clean-up – Saturday, August 18, 2012

The Roost #4 Road Crew was in action on Frederick Road in Oella on Saturday, August 18th, in support of our Adopt-a-Highway commitment.Â It took 10 volunteers onlyÂ 1 hour to clean our stretch of highway this time around.Â Ten bags of trash were collected … and Denise found a dime!Â A couple of pictures are attached.Â Thanks again to our dedicated volunteers!

Thanks to everyone for coming-out to theÂ 2012 Ravens Roost #4 Summer PicnicÂ onÂ Saturday, July 28th, at theÂ Tiki Hut on Sterner LagoonÂ in Catonsville!Â Though the weather was a tad warm the pool and beverages proved refreshing!Â Congratulations to the Swimming for Shots winners: Bob Caldwell (Senior Division), Kel Habicht (Ladies’ Division), and Scott Habicht (Open Division)!Â Thanks to everyone for all the great dishes contributed to the picnic (though we need to find a way to downsize … once again we had TOO MUCH FOOOD!)Â Special thanks again to Russ and Julie for their hospitality!Â Please enjoy the pictures from the picnic …

Roost #4 Raffle of 2012 Ravens Season Tickets – Winners

Roost #4 held the drawing for the raffle of 2012 Baltimore Ravens season tickets at their July 23rd meeting at Jilly’s.

Congratulations to the raffle winner – Stacey Bilenki!

Congratulations to Susan Thompson for selling the winning ticket to Stacey!Â Congratulations to Chuck Anderson for selling the most raffle tickets (80 – woo hoo!)!Â Both Sue and Chuck will received FREE membership for FY2013 for selling the winning / most tickets!

Proceeds from the raffle benefit the Ravens Roost #4 Formula 4 Success Scholarship Fund.Â Each year, Roost #4 awards two $1500 scholarships to graduating senior high school football players from Howard County.

Thanks to all members of Ravens Roost #4 for getting out there and hustling those raffle tickets!Â Special thanks to Tom Thompson for an outstanding effort coordinating the event!

Roost #4 Meeting – TONIGHT!

Don’t forget the Ravens Roost #4 meeting at 7pm tonight up at Jilly’s!Â The drawing for the 2012 Ravens season tickets is tonight … so if you’re still holding raffle money and ticket stubs, please get them to Tom Thompson before the start of the meeting.Â For those going on the Roost #4 Road Trip to Kansas City in October, the final $50 installment is dueÂ tonight – please pay Frosty.Â And finally, our Roost #4 Summer Picnic is this coming Saturday, July 28th, at Russ & Julie Sterners’ home in Catonsville.Â If you haven’t already RSVPed, check-in with Mitch when you arrive at the meeting.Â See y’all tonight! – Mitch

15th Annual Ravens Roost #4 Golf Tournament

On Saturday, July 14, 2012, Ravens Roost #4 held their 15th Annual Golf Tournament at Hollow Creek Golf Club out in Middletown, MD.Â The tournament now also carries the moniker of “The Buzz Suter Memorial Golf Tournament”.Â Proceeds from the tournament benefit our Roost #4 charities.Â Though it was pouring rain in Howard County as our golfers drove west to Hollow Creek for the 9am tee time, the course remained dry and the sun made an appearance early in the afternoon.Â Thanks to everyone who came out to golf with Roost #4 … thanks to all of our hole sponsors … thanks to the staff at Hollow Creek for getting the signs placed, the carts lined-up, the course in tip-top shape, and for keeping our golfers fed & hydrated … and a special thanks to Frosty for making the whole thing happen!Â A good time was had by all!Â Please enjoy these pictures from the tourney (with another thank you to Scott Habicht for recording the event!) …Â

Raffle Ticket Reminder

With less than a week to go now is your time to sell those last few tickets.

The raffle will be held at the July 23rd meeting at Jillys.Â Tickets are due Wednesday July 18th. Tom Tompson will be at Jillys on Wednesday July 18th from 6-8pm collecting tickets and money.

As a reminder, you can buy your own tickets.

It’s time to celebrate summer!Â

The Roost provides the following for the picnic:

– beer, wine, setups, ice

– burgers, hotdogs, buns, condiments, paper goods

We ask everyone attending to bring a side-dish or dessert (enough to share with 8-10 people).Â Â Mitch HooperÂ is coordinating the food …Â so please RSVP toÂ MitchÂ atÂ ravensroost4@gmail.comÂ no later than Thursday, July 26th and let him know how many are coming and what you’d like to bring so we can get a head count and coordinate the food!
