Iggy’s Baltimore Sports Report – January 19, 2015

Ravens:
Kubiak, after saying he wasn’t leaving, left. I guess it was a matter of the right job opportunity, which didn’t open up until Denver was bounced out of playoffs. Now, we have to go on another hunt.

Orioles:
Season tickets are supposed to be out within the next week. O’s sign 4 players to avoid arbitration, but still not making any big moves.

Alouettes
Nothing to report.

Blast:
The Blast (12-0) swept Milwaukee and Detroit over the weekend and will host Rochester on Saturday.

Chesapeake Bayhawks: (Home games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium)
2015 schedule has been announced. Hawks open at home April 19th against Florida.

Charm:
Nothing to Report.

Capitals (See website for more details):
Caps (24-13-8, 56 Points) have fallen 7 points behind the evil penguins.

Wizards (See website for more details):
Wizards (28-13) are now 5 games behind Atlanta, but have moved up to the #2 spot in the conference.

Mystics (See website for more details):
Nothing to report.

D.C.United (See website for more details):
Nothing to report.

What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, never mind. No one is reading this anyway so you probably won’t know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!

Iggy’s Predictions

“Past performance does not guarantee future success, but it sure is the way to bet!”

  • Conference Championships:
    • Seattle over Packers (+7.5). Seattle won by 20 in the regular season, and will do the same here. Just think what it would have been if Wilson didn’t have a gazillion turnovers!
    • Patsies over Colts (+7.5). Ningland ran up the score on Indy in the regular season, and could do the same. It all depends on which Luck shows up. The one team I didn’t want to win….
    • This Week: 2-0 Straight Up and 1-1 Against the Spread
    • Season: 166-99-1 Straight Up and 119-147 Against the Spread
  • Stupor Bowl:
    • Seattle over Brady (+0.5). Seattle is scheduled for a repeat, sporting one of the best defenses in football.
